The Dominican Republic offers nature lovers in the many national parks and nature reserves a unique flora and fauna. Many of the over 5,000 plant species are endemic, they exist only in the Dominican Republic. Ecotourism is being written and can be experienced in the impressive national parks, mountain regions, river valleys and the beaches.
